admin: Turkey is for thanksgiving, independence day is fireworks, singing, and excessive primary colour use.

admin: Turkey? LOL That is usually Thanksgiving. I am from the South, so it is barbecue, sports, and fireworks for me. The fourth of July is celebrated differently depending on what state/region you are in.

Tophatdoc: I said Germans, i.e the Germanic race and people, not Germany.

18Karl: The concept of a German race is fairly new(a few centuries ago). It would not of been acceptable at that time to call them Germans because there had been no concept of a German race at that time. The concept of race itself is fairly new as well(a few centuries ago as well).

admin: Fireworks, barbeque with family, lots of patriotism. There's 10's of billions (estimate) of fireworks that go off on the 4th of July. As the legend goes, at night, you can see a firework from any location in the country, Which I honestly believe. Maybe not in Alaska, but it's absolutely true that you can see fireworks from any point in America.

Tophatdoc: It is? I'm pretty certainit's celebrated the same everywhere. People in the northeast, west, and Hawaii barbeque and watch fireworks just like in the South,

Tophatdoc: The people of the Rhine were known as the Germanics since before Rome. The Germans were always a ethnic group, ie, race. The idea of a German nationality is new though. There's hardly a difference between the skin from a Bavarian and Wurtemburgger

Blackflag: I would urge you to stop lying or making up BS right now. It is too easy to recognize this nonsense. Could you enlighten me when did the terms "race" and "ethnicity" were created? P.S., it was long after Rome fell, try a millenia and a half later.

Blackflag: Nonsense. Barbecue is a southern tradition, not a Yankee tradition(just like fried foods).

Tophatdoc: Tophatdoc, you're an idiot. The people around the Rhine have always been referred to as the Germanic people. They had a distinct culture, skin tone, and language. It's actually you who is making BS up

Tophatdoc: You're full of it. I've been to every corner of the country, and "barbecuing" isn't a southern thing. It's something done all over America. The south barbecues different foods most likely, but I ensure you that at least half the nation was grilling up Hotdogs, mashpotatoes, ect.

Still wrong, I applaud your effort in using a page which anyone can edit LOL(I edited too when I went there just now). Ethnic groups and races didn't exist then.

Tophatdoc: You ARE a moron, denying a known fact. The Germanic people were referred to many times in Roman literature. What about Julies Caesar's "Conquest of Gaul" book. The Germanic people had a unique language, ethnic group, and culture native to the Rhine people. You can deny it all you want.
