I fixed it myself. I think it has something to do with the "First line" indent.

JDSFDSFfsa: There is no such thing as a tied debate. This is accurate.

admin: I highly disagree with this decision. There are two ongoing debates that run the risk of me losing simply because I'm not affirming the resolution.
This is extremely unfair to be honest. I don't know what the exact logic behind this was.

I would rather have a tied debate than lose because I chose con.

Blackflag: A lot of the reason why there's not allowed to be ties in debating is because there's an assumption that debates are judged, and judges can't return tied ballots. You'll find the exact same is true of almost every real life debate style. Electing to give unjudged debates to con would have been equally unfair. I've always found the concept of a tied debate the most annoying thing about the other debate sites.

I have considered in the past the idea of debates past the voting period entering a "knockout" period where the first vote decides it, but I'm still thinking about the possible implications of that.

admin: The current system is equally jacked up. One side shouldn't win by default.
A tied debate is less annoying than a win by technicality.

Blackflag: The only way you can win "by default" is with auto-forfeit. It's not an automatic win if you're pro. Banking on the debate not being judged in not a good strategy.

admin: It is still a win by technicality. It doesn't matter if there is a strategy to it.
Both sides could work their ass off in a debate, just to have one side win by simply choosing the affirming side.
Insanely bad idea.

Blackflag: All that really proves is that it's an insanely bad idea not to vote on debates. The idea that debates can be tied makes absolutely no sense to me, and I'd be happy to defend that in a debate any time. This is probably the one thing about debates I feel strongest about. Debates should never, ever be tied.

admin: It might not make sense, but it is a superior alternative to "Oh, you're Pro, so you win "Derp".
The debaters have no influence to make someone else judge their debate.

Blackflag: And this is why it's so important that the site does everything it can to encourage people to judge debates. :)

admin: On Hidden debates, the debaters are revealed, (or at least one of them is) as soon as someone votes for them.
