The World CIA Factbook

https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/

"The World Factbook provides information on the history, people, government, economy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 267 world entities. Our Reference tab includes: maps of the major world regions, as well as Flags of the World, a Physical Map of the World, a Political Map of the World, a World Oceans map, and a Standard Time Zones of the World map."

Simply select a country from the drop down menu to view. You will be presented with the country's flag, a map showing it's location on its continent, and a close-up map showing its capital and major cities, and a album of photos.

Beneath the pictures are expandable sections for: introduction, geography, people and society, government, economy, energy, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues. For each sub-field within a section there is a "Field Listing" button that will take you to a new page showing you that field for all the 267 countries for contrast and comparison. For example, if you expand "Transnational Issues," then select the "Field Listing" button for "Illicit Drugs," you will be taken to a page with all 267 countries and their associated "Illicit Drug entries." Other fields also contain links that will take you to rankings, showing how that country ranks for that attribute (such as population), or links to charts and graphs (such as its population pyramid).
