Debate Central's 12 Tips

Just sharing another set of advice. Here's a short version, read the original article for more details.
  1. Use causal links
  2. No whining if you lose
  3. Obvious, natural responses are better than "debater" arguments
  4. Give judges a reason to "break the tie"
  5. Fake it until you make it
  6. Debate your way, not the "right" way
  7. Be not afraid to switch strategy mid-debate
  8. Predict the debate's course before it begins
  9. Tell believable narratives
  10. Be open to anything you find in research
  11. Winning isn't everything
  12. When in doubt, say the opposite of what your opponent(s) said
