As you may be aware, about a fortnight ago I changed some stuff about how usernames are changed.
Since then there has been a slight bug in that there are inconsistent database references with friends and friend requests. This basically makes such links work from your profile but not from theirs. It's a minor bug but may be slightly annoying. This has been completely resolved as of now.
There is an extremely simple, easy fix. Just change your name to your old name, and then change it back.
