2001bhu: what to do?
ButterCatx: Radios should not have to play a certain amount of any type of music. That would be a violation of freedom of speech, one of the most important freedoms given in the constitution.
ButterCatx: How are radios racist? Please explain that part further

2001bhu: I spelled that wrong

Radio should have to because
a) they will get more listeners thus more money
b) people will like their station more
c) more diverse music will create a more diverse area

Many stations play specific types of music and native music would mess that up. Many Stations don't even play music such as NPR, would you also make them play that music. In the United States there is the freedom of Press which ensures that the government cannot interfere with press, which includes radio stations.  Playing a certain type of music will not attract more listeners, it may drive away more listeners who do not like native music. The type of music played on a radio station will not affect the diversity of the area that it is in.

As I am the only on who actually made sensible arguments I do suggest  that you vote con. Also bhu compared himself to a cat which is highly illogical given that I am the cat in this debate.

As my opponent has posted nothing relating to the debate, I will take that as a concession. Vote Con

bhu messaged me a while back and he said it was first round acceptance. Next debate I guess it won't be.

Feedback:
I'm guessing this was one of those secret debate topics, but seriously?

R1: Both accept the debate. You have both already accepted the debate, there is no need to spend an extra round reminding the audience of such. For example, the second line in the cross examination would have been an ideal opening argument; but it did not feel like cross examination.

R2: Pro, all three of your points were base assertions. Yet if expanded the third, you could have turned it into a real argument. Con, nice argument (even if NPR is a rare radio station that does play a certain percentage of native music; as opposed to no music which you stated). Also great advice you offered to pro in the cross examination, which caused the above comment about you schooling him.

R3: This onward has almost nothing of merit.
