Resolved: We should attack ISIS using ground troops.
My real opinion on this subject does not matter. While I may have had a different opinion in another debate, I ask you to not use the information that I use in that debate. Thank you.

First of all, I would like to say that America has an incredibly strong military force; their military source is one of the largest in the entire world. They easily have the firepower to destroy ISIS with their ground troops. In fact, there are about 1,000,000 soldiers that are ready to fight against the threat of terrorism. ISIS itself has little force in their "army." Their army is made up of the small force of about 184,000, and even that is stretching it. Compared to one million soldiers, 184,000 is a measly number. There is no doubt that we would suffer losses, but it is a price to pay for fighting back terrorism. Also, these soldiers signed up knowing the risks of being in the military. There is also no guarantee that we could destroy all the terrorists, but we could destroy at least 75% of the terrorists. This would be a major blow against ISIS and other terrorist groups.

Also, the US joining the battle against ISIS will eventually convince other countries to join the fight. After all, ISIS has offended countries other than America, and lots of people will be willing to remove terrorism. For example, the beheading of the Japanese hostages has angered many Japanese citizens. Japan will definitely be willing to expend their troops and money to eliminate ISIS.

Thank you for your time and consideration, judges and debater.
