Death penalties can range from inhaling gas, poison, shooting squad even hangings are still around but are these immoral?
19 states and DC have banned the death penalty and 31 states still have it.
but before i continue with facts from research i would like to say in my opinion that i believe that the death penalty sucks but it has been around forever that it is efficient and often times needed.
if someone kills 30 people and is labeled a serial killer should we keep him in prison? or kill him because i think that many people agree that someone responsible for that many deaths deserves to die at a certain point does it even matter if it is moral or not? i think that for some crimes it is wrong and for some it is ok.
i know that wikipedia isnt an amazing source for information but according to wikipedia the death penalty is legal and currently used by 31 states the federal government and the military.
CNN states that there were 20 executions in 2016 the lowest number since 1991 thats pretty awesome right? some may say less crimes but what it really is is that more people are being put in for life terms instead.
between 1985 and 2003, 22 individuals were put to death for crimes done as juveniles
i believe that the death penalty is moral based on the crime commited

Methods of Execution today
"hangings are still around"
"inhaling gas" / gas chamber
"shooting squad"
electrution
Lethal injection
"are these immoral?"
Ofcourse
If Terrorist does this we can consider it wrong.
"19 states and DC have banned the death penalty and 31 states still have it."
So only 19 states value life ... Interesting.
"efficient and often times needed."
Killing is efficient and needed?
"the death penalty is legal"
but not proven pure right, there is something wrong with it. Killing is always wrong and executioner's feels wrong https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/nov/21/death-penalty-former-executioner-jerry-givens
"i believe that the death penalty sucks"
Then disagree with it
We don't need a sickening justice system
we need something acceptable.
"death penalty is moral based on the crime commited"
I opposed it being moral.
Yes it is based on the crime commited,
we judge the criminal's action(killing)
How about the government's(killing)?
"some may say less crimes"
I believe so too
Cowards actually fear death from penalty
but the government also violated their own law.
You see, they also kill, including the innocent.
"put in for life terms instead."
That's what killers do.
"someone responsible for that many deaths deserves to die"
Yes, but we should not be a killer.
"if someone kills 30 people and is labeled a serial killer should we keep him in prison?"
Yes for we value life and we are humane, we're wise enough to stop him from doing another crime.
The only problem is we don't try to change them.
"'CNN states that there were 20 executions in 2016 the lowest number since 1991 thats pretty awesome right?"
Awesome.
Hope China will reach that numbers of execution.
"does it even matter if it is moral or not?"
Yes for justice is defined as ethical.
"i think that for some crimes it is wrong and for some it is ok."
Yes but no one claimed it to be right.
"the death penalty is moral"
The fact that you believe killing is wrong
And claiming death penalty is moral
Is a contradiction
My Opinion
-This is death penalty in different method (guilletone) but same procedure (to kill the inmate).
With this image i came to the conclusion
Killing is never humane.
Tough it can be less and more cruel, It's still always cruel
-Another point is that innocent is charged with death and because of this
money tax became worthless as of that money was supposed to protect the innocent yet it fails.
Continuing death penalty means another innocent will be killed (it can be prevented)
Death penalty doesn't define who the criminal is but who the government is.
-Now the government killed should we praise them?
-if death penalty is cheaper i'll still oppose it for
Morality is not measured by cheapness
Choosing the right thing over money is right.
-Violence can't be solved by violence
there's nothing good on eye on eye/ evil for evil.
There's another solution besides killing
-we don't understand why inmates do crimes so we can't stop them while they're alive.
-rehabiliation works sometimes
-no one learns when they're dead
-in death penalty we're doing what the criminal does (killing)
- if we kill (including the inmate)
We're not compatible to be called innocent.
-government and the criminal both kill, including the innocent.
-should we trust the government who kills his own citizen ( Including criminal and the innocent)?
..
Alright now show me your facts.
I'll wait for your response..

I think that what you should have done is state the question and then answer it like “The definition of moral is a moral is a lesson in a story or in real life” so now the question is “Is there a lesson to be learned from someone being sentenced to death?” This can be argued both ways but I thought the gore and the statements weren’t all that necessary.Posted 2020-04-17 07:08:28
