It's my pleasure to welcome you to this site. EDEB8 was created to offer something different in the world of debating sites. I set out to build the world's most flexible, but also the world's most useful online debating service, and I strongly believe that it is.

But this journey is far from over yet.

We've got a heap of cool things planned for the coming weeks, so please, stay tuned. This is still a site in its infancy, so there will undoubtedly be teething problems while we get settled. To be frank, my own lack of funding means this is at present being hosted on a shared server, which may not be very reliable. As the site grows and gains in popularity, these small issues will get better.

The real focus of my efforts, however, is big. I'm working on a bunch of big new features that will be launched in the coming weeks and months. On this blog I'll give you updates on how those things are progressing, and of course once they're ready you'll see them on the site itself.
