Biography
I am a middle-aged Australian woman. I have been happily married for nearly 50 years, have three adult children and four beautiful grandchildren. My husband and I have spent decades travelling extensively around the world including an extended overland backpacking trip from Singapore to London visiting countries as diverse as Nepal, India, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Egypt at a time (in the mid-1970's) when it was possible to do so. From there, we purchased a car and spent 12 months driving around Europe and the Northern African continent. In the late 1970's, we spent another two years travelling throughout South America, up through Central America and across the breadth of North America and Canada to Alaska. We have taken our children all over Australia and around the world and instilled in them the importance of travelling, tolerance and acceptance of other people's cultures, creeds and religions. Travel is the best education one can gift to their children!
