Lie Detectors

So polygraphs are apparently still around (technically not a lie detector but it's the best tech we have for it). Over the last two years people in the US have even been arrested for teaching others how to beat them because the CIA etc rely on them, in part, for their employment screening (although this has failed to catch dozens of foreign spies). The validity of these machines is not only very low, but the number of false positives is exceedingly high. Very few courts admit it as evidence.

I don't see why anyone would use one unless you want to get humiliated on The Jeremy Kyle Show.

Interesting. I can't say I know how to fool one.

I know how to fool them but I couldn't say or I'd get in trouble.

Most of the methods I've heard off are based around the concept of messing with the base line. Causing the needle to spike when telling the truth makes it hard to tell when you're lying.
