thank you for taking. This video was posted by France 24 it is a YouTube  channel with around a million subscriber. The reason why this France  video is talking about sweet wormwood is because it has been banned in  France because big pharma is afraid people would heal themselfs with  wormwood and they lie and say there is side effects when none exist. The  only reason why it is illegal is from big pharma bribing

This source is very reliable

"France 24 is an international news and current affairs
television channel based in Paris. The channel is owned by the French
Government and was launched in 2006."https://wwitv.com/tv_channels/b2743.htm

At 11:10 through 11:52
A  famous explorer got malaria he ate sweet wormwood and it killed 98  percent of the disease. Later the last 2 percent showed up. He started  to take sweet wormwood as a herbal tea.In 24 hours he was feeling  better. In 48 hours he was completely cured from the disease.Never has  another malaria attack in his life

11:52 through 12:00The famous explored recounts his experience in a book that sold 400 thousand copies.

21:20 22:00

A  doctor recounts how sweet wormwood cured him of malaria. He took drugs  to no success. But a friend offered him a plant and by the 7th day he was  cured of the disease.

22:00 to 23:00
he  gets a masters degree in France to pursue research on the plant. But  when he tried to share it.The higher ups got afraid because all there  funding comes from big pharma

A controlled trail where people cured themselfs

"a researcher named Patrick Ogwang with the Ugandan Ministry of Health
documented a decline of malaria incidence among almost 300 workers
drinking the tea, and followed up with the randomized controlled trial
demonstrating the tea’s effectiveness
. Today, workers like Peter Osire,
an irrigation supervisor, tell me it has been years since they had a
fever."

I do not like vox at all. they push liberal stuff  and are pro vaccines. They have around 7 million sub on youtube and are  mainstream. But i think that you might find vox very reliable  source.Which is why i am using it.I agree with vox on this.Nothing else

There are heavy metals in plants. All herbs are contaminated

Here is a cbs article about lead and mercury found in 45 different fruit juice.Your Capri Sun is full of lead. This is from chemtrails or pollution.

There is high amounts of lead and mercury in baby food
https://www.consumerreports.org/food-safety/heavy-metals-in-baby-food/

There is high amounts of lead and  mercury in cereal rice tea and most of your processed package food.It is in milk. This is in herbs .

There is also the 5g internet problem.5g is shredding your DNA and damage you on the cellular level.
5g is a weapon. The first 8 months of ww2 were called the Phoney War . It
was where country's used radio signals to do unreparable damage to the
enemy soldiers body's.The same thing is being done today with 5g. but on
the citizens.

))Hello.

The argument presented is " Wormwood cure's maleria (sic)". We shall assume the intent is malaria, the common parasitic disease carried by mosquitos.

Cure means "a complete or permanent solution or remedy". (Merriam-Websters)

Not a single study is presented that a cure occurs.

While my opponent presents anecdotal evidence that there is a positive benefit of wormwood with respect to the treatment and prevention of malaria, nothing demonstrates an actual cure. In fact the study referenced by my opponent says the following in the abstract.

(A. annua herbal ‘tea’ significantly reduced the risk of suffering more than one episode of
malaria in nine months by 55 %

Another study shows that the cored ingredients in Wormwood have a positive effect.  It does not say that it is a cure.  https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0052746

Please provide proof that Wormwood is a cure.  Not just a positive benefit.   I would also urge my opponent to stay focused on the issue.  This is not about heavy metals in plants, or coronavirus.

You ignored all of my argument.

"The team carried out further tests, only to be baffled when the  compound’s powers seemed to melt away. Tu reread the recipe, written  more than 1600 years ago in a text appositely titled "Emergency  Prescriptions Kept Up One’s Sleeve". The directions were to soak one  bunch of wormwood in water and then drink the juice.

Tu realised that their method of preparation, boiling up the  wormwood, might have damaged the active ingredient. So she made another  preparation using an ether solvent, which boils at 35 °C. When tested on  mice and monkeys, it proved 100 per cent effective. "We had just cured  drug-resistant malaria," Tu says. "We were very excited."

"Tu then had to test the treatment in humans — and tried it on herself
first to make sure it was safe. After enduring no side effects, she
organized clinical trials for people with malaria, and the participants
were cleared of the disease within little more than a day"

She got a noble prize for it.40 years later after who made the plant illegal so no one can cure themselfs. She is finally getting recognition for here part in the Vietnam war.Her part in curing malaria is why the communist were able to win so may of those battles.

With respect I did not ignore your arguments.  I actually referenced the paper and showed you how your own reference was misrepresented.
The issue I see here my friend is the way you have constructed your argument.   I can only debate what you have constructed.

The nature of a Wormwood tea (the corner stone of your delivery argument) has been shown to be dubious at best, and is discouraged by the WHO.

While I have no doubt that there is some facts in traditional medicine, and the Nobel Prize was deserved,  I respectfully submit you have not articulated a clear and effective argument about Wormwood being a cure.

On the counterside, I demonstrate how the WHO discourages your  proposed tea based cure.

Your source did not say anything about what my sources were talking about. It say's that there was not much research but that is around it.I  found several study's on it. I have not misinterpreted any of my sources. All of them bluntly say Wormwood cure's malaria.I will obsessively quote the article's.

"Patients with Drug-Resistant Malaria Cured by Plant Therapy Developed at Worcester Polytechnic Institute"

suggest a new and inexpensive treatment option for the mosquito-borne
disease that affects 212 million people
worldwide."

"Patients with drug-resistant malaria cured by plant therapy. When the
standard malaria medications failed to help 18 critically ill patients,
the attending physician in a Congo clinic acted under the "compassionate
use" doctrine and prescribed a not-yet-approved malaria therapy made
only from the dried leaves of the Artemisia annua plant. In just five

I found 2 instances of this curing

"Secondary end points were parasite clearance times, day 15 cure

days after treatment, 133 (100%) of the evaluable patients in the
CGP56697 group and 128 (93%) of the evaluable children in the P/S group
were free of parasites."

With respect, your narrative suggested a wormwood tea was a cure for malaria.  The source I referenced from The Lancet journals suggest otherwise.

I submit that your reference toe https://www.naturalfoodseries.com is not a valid independent source.
I submit that a hearsay reference from a video is not a valid source.
A comment by a scientist, even if she is a Nobel prize winner, is not independent science.    It is not proof.
I am not doubting the potential benefit.  You have not given a single reason to demonstrate "Wormwood cures maleria(sic) "
You mentioned you found 2 hearsay mentions of curing.  Again, I do not doubt the potential value.

I am responding to the basic premise made. I respectfully submit you have provided an array of nonscientific examples, and hearsay.  The premise the Wormwood cures has not been convincingly established.

Reasoning:
After reading through the debate, my vote must go to Con. Pro rehashed all of their arguments of the same debate they've done earlier. Just like last time, they provided no proof of their claims and the sources they did provide have already been debunked as unreliable sources. Pro claims that there are studies that blatantly state that wormwood cures malaria, but they "quoted" them and never provided them. Given this, the studies might as well be fake. Outside of plagiarism and failing to stay on topic, Pro's arguments were completely based on rumor and personal biases rather than facts and evidence. This makes their entire argument nothing but a logical fallacy. This made it very easy for Con to refute and debunk on their own, which they did a very good job of.

Feedback:
Pro: You need to stop using biased, unsupported and unreliable sources. On debates like this, you need proof read, scientific and legitimate sources.
